Title: Pooling in Graph Neural Networks

Abstract:

The advance of node pooling operations in Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) has lagged behind the feverish design of new message-passing techniques, and pooling remains an essential and challenging endeavour for the design of deep architectures. In this presentation, I will give a brief overview of the two principal families of pooling techniques for pooling node representations across the layers of a GNN.
For each family, I will provide a few examples of the most commonly used techniques.
